Actress Lindsay Lohan called 911 to ask for police help during an "incident" at the Betty Ford Center, her lawyer said Wednesday. The statement from Shawn Chapman Holley came after the rehab center fired an employee who reportedly leaked details of a tussle with Lohan.
Holley declined to comment on what happened in the incident, but added that "it should be noted" that it was Lohan who called the police.
Authorities in the Southern California city of Palm Desert confirmed Tuesday that they are investigating a claim that Lohan assaulted an employee at the center.
Meanwhile, the employee, Dawn Holland, has hired a lawyer with an eye to filing employment and civil rights claims against the center.
Holland was "targeted, unmercifully interrogated, intimidated and threatened with her livelihood" by the treatment center, lawyer Keith Davidson said.

Ridiculous!! French village which will 'survive 2012 Armageddon' plagued by visitors
The mayor of a picturesque French village has threatened to call in the army to seal it off from a tide of New Age fanatics and UFO watchers, who are convinced it is the only place on Earth to be spared Armageddon in 2012. Bugarach, population 189, is a peaceful farming village in the Aude region, southwestern France and sits at the foot of the Pic de Bugarach, the highest mountain in the Corbières wine-growing area. But in the past few months, the quiet village has been inundated by groups of esoteric outsiders who believe the peak is an "alien garage" . According to them, extraterrestrials are quietly waiting in a massive cavity beneath the rock for the world to end, at which point they will leave, taking, it is hoped, a lucky few humans with them. Most believe Armageddon will take place on December 21, 2012, the end date of the ancient Maya calendar, at which point they predict human civilisation will come to an end. Another favourite date mentioned is 12, December, 2012. They see Bugarach as one of perhaps several "sacred mountains" sheltered from the cataclysm.
Interesting, Right?

Mark Zuckerberg emerges TIME Person of Year 2010
Facebook honcho Mark Zuckerberg has emerged Time Magazine's Person of the year in a rather controversial twist. It was reported that the public had overwhelmingly voted for Wikileaks headman, Julian Assange for the win but depressingly, TIME took the safe option, opting for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, instead. According to the magazine, "In less than seven years, Zuckerberg wired together a twelfth of humanity into a single network, thereby creating a social entity almost twice as large as the U.S. If Facebook were a country it would be the third largest. ... It has turned into ... something that has changed the way human beings relate to one another on a species-wide scale. ... Facebook has merged with the social fabric of ... human life. ... It's a permanent fact of our global social reality"

German man castrates teenage daughter's 57-year-old boyfriend
An enraged father who disapproved of his daughter's older boyfriend went to his home and castrated him with a bread knife.
Helmut Seifert, 47, an ethnic German originally from Russia, was enraged when he heard his 17-year-old daughter was having a relationship with Phillip Genscher, 57.
He went to police in the town of Bielefeld where he lives but officers said they were powerless to intervene.
"The man then recruited two work colleagues at his factory and then went to the house of the victim," said police.
The man was forced to remove his trousers and, fully conscious, he was castrated. The severed testicles were taken away by the perpetrator."
The man was close to bleeding to death but managed to call police. His life was saved but he remains a eunuch for life.
Seifert pleaded guilty and will be on trial for attempted murder next year. But he has remained silent on who his accomplices were.
He told police: "I received a phone call anonymously that my daughter was involved with a guy 40 years older than her. You said you couldn't stop him – so I did.
"I saw it as my duty as a father."

Assange arrested!!
One of Interpols most wanted man - Julian Assange has been arrested. Julian Assange, editor in chief of WikiLeaks, was arrested Tuesday morning in London on rape charges from Sweden, adding a new wrinkle to the ongoing furor over WikiLeaks' controversial release of hundreds of thousands of US diplomatic cables.
The British Press Association reports that Mr. Assange is expected to appear in court Tuesday after being arrested by Scotland Yard's extradition unit at 9:30 a.m., according to a Metropolitan Police spokesman. The spokesman said that Assange voluntarily came to the London police station, where he was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant from Swedish authorities for "one count of unlawful coercion, two counts of sexual molestation and one count of rape, all alleged to have been committed in August 2010." The Press Association noted that the Metropolitan Police received an arrest warrant last month on the same charges, but the warrant was invalid because it was not properly filled out. Well, we are about to see another take place any time soon as Kate Middleton and Prince William are planning to give us that experience. Reports say Kate Middleton and Prince William are meeting Royal advisers to begin planning their wedding today with further reports speculating that the wedding is set to hold in July next year.
A statement from Clarence House said the wedding would be held some time in spring or summer next year.
The ceremony is expected to attract one of the biggest worldwide TV audiences since the Prince of Wales married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.
While Prince William invited inevitable comparisons between his late mother and his bride-to-be with his choice of engagement ring, he insisted that Miss Middleton was under “no pressure” to fill his mother’s shoes.

All coconuts around the city's Gandhi museum, one of Mr Obama's stops in the city, are being taken down.
Every year in India people are injured or even killed by falling coconuts but all the same, they hosted a very successful common wealth games this year.

A Zimbabwean man has been killed by a pride of lions while he was having his bath in a camp in the country's north.
A Zimbabwean man has been killed by a pride of lions while he was having his bath in a camp in the country's north.
The man was attacked while using an outside shower at a fishing camp near Mana Pools National Park, Johnny Rodrigues, chairman of the Zimbabwean Conservation Task Force told German news agency DPA.
The area, located on the Zambesi River, is popular with hunters, most of whom stay in basic camps that offer little protection against attack by wild animals.
The attack is the latest in a string of lion attacks in the area, Mr Rodrigues said.
Eight villagers were killed in a spate of lion attacks over a period of about two months this year, he said. Those attacks only stopped when a pride of lions was killed.
Lions are for lions. Pity!

For the records... Unemployed Law School Student Pens Letter to Dean Asking for His Tuition Money Back
A Boston College law student unhappy with his job prospects has made the prestigious university an offer: return his money and he'll forfeit his degree.
The proposition was made in an open letter written by the student anonymously, identified only as a third-year law school student, and posted last week on the law school's independent student-run website, Eagleionline.
The letter, addressed to the school's Interim Dean George Brown, explains how the student is unable to support his wife and the baby they're expecting and is in "an enormous amount of debt" from his time at Boston College.
"With fatherhood impending, I go to bed every night terrified of the thought of trying to provide for my child AND paying off my J.D, and resentful at the thought that I was convinced to go to law school by empty promises of a fulfilling and remunerative career," the student, who says he's set to graduate in 2011, writes.
*Unusual right? lol*

What can we say??? Oral Sex Linked to Rise in Men's Throat Cancer
For years now, doctors have urged young women to be vaccinated against the human papilloma virus (HPV), which is believed to cause cervical cancer.
But now, growing research in Europe and the United States is implicating HPV in a rising number of cases of head and neck cancers in men, and many doctors are recommending that all boys be vaccinated as well.
Doctors say that changing sexual behaviors -- earlier sex, more partners and especially oral sex -- are contributing to a new epidemic of orpharyngeal squamous cell cancers, those of the throat, tonsils and base of the tongue.
These cancers can be deadly, and are striking men at a younger age and in increasing numbers.
"There's a lag in information," said Dr. John Deeken, a medical oncologist at Georgetown University. "We physicians have done a poor job of advertising the fact that boys and girls should have the vaccine."
"This kind of cancer traditionally affects males who have been smoking and drinking all their life, and now in their mid-60s they are getting head and neck cancer," he said. "However, HPV cancer we are seeing in younger patients who have never smoked."

Nelson Mandela "worried" about being a living icon
The public persona of Nelson Mandela is internationally known – activist, president, political icon.
But in his latest book, "Conversations with Myself," a new unprecedented, intimate picture emerges of the 92-year-old man who endured isolation in prison, heart-breaking divorce, and personal loss while balancing the demands of loving both his family and his political work.
South African archivist Verne Harris was allowed wide access to Mandela's personal notes, journal entries, letters and manuscripts – written over decades -- to compile "Conversations with Myself."
"The private Nelson Mandela is one we can all relate to," Harris said. "He's taken the stuff life has given him and he's worked with it, in ways that are often very simple."
Harris recently sat down with ABC News to discuss the new pictures of the leader that emerge from his latest work.

LMAO!!!! Drunk baboons unrests Cape Town's exclusive suburbs
By Stanley
Groot Constantia, in the heart of Cape Town's wine country, can deal with inebriated holidaymakers – but it is invading baboons which have developed a taste for its grapes that the wine makers are struggling with.
Each day, dozens of Cape Baboons gather to strip the ancient vines – the sauvignon blanc grapes are a particular favourite – before heading into the mountains to sleep. A few, who sample fallen fruit that has fermented in the sun, pass out and don't make it home.
"They are not just eating our grapes, they are raiding our kitchens and ripping the thatch off the roofs. They are becoming increasingly bold and destructive," said Jean Naude, general manager at the vineyard, which is celebrating its 325th birthday this year. Guards banging sticks and waving plastic snakes have been deployed with only limited success, and not even a blast of a vuvuzela, the plastic horn made famous at the World Cup, seems to frighten them.

By Ken
Paris Hilton, the American socialite and heiress, is being sued for $35 million (£22 million) for allegedly wearing the wrong hair extensions.
A company based in Beverly Hills said it signed a contract with her to promote its extensions and alleges that she breached the agreement by using fake blonde locks produced by a rival.

Good Luck to you Ms Hilton

'It was nothing I could do but watch them drown one by one,' says witness
Six teenagers from at least two families drowned in the Red River in northwest Louisiana after they stepped off a ledge from shallow water into a 18-foot sinkhole Monday, fire officials said.

Amazing!!! BLACK Nigerian couple gives birth to a complete WHITE offspring...
By Ken
This is really amazing!!!! What a life right? Whta do you think about this?
A black couple from Nigeria, living in Britain, recently stunned everyone when the wife gave birth to a white, blue eyed, blonde baby girl.
The father, Benjamin Ihegboro, admitted he was shocked when he first saw his baby. He said he asked his wife if the baby, who was named Nmachi, meaning “beauty of God,” was his. He later said he was joking, of course, and knew she was his. “Even if she wasn’t” , he said, “she wouldn’t look like this!” Mom Angela said, “She is beautiful, a miracle baby.”
The doctor who delivered little Nmachi, says she is not an albino, as some have suggested. She doesn’t have the white hair and pink eyes, traditional traits of albinos. Benjamin and Angela Ihegboro, have two other children, who are dark skinned like their parents.
Genetic experts in London are baffled by the birth. One such expert, Professor Bryan Sykes, head of human genetics at Oxford University, exclaimed, “ The birth is extraordinary…In mixed race humans, the lighter variant of skin tone may come out in a child and this can sometimes be startlingly different to the skin of the parents.”

Salad Spinner Centrifuge: A Cheap, Ingenious Health Care Tool
By Ken
We already know that we need to eat plenty of leafy greens to stay healthy, but who knew that a salad spinner itself could help save lives?
As we learn from EurekAlert, Rice University undergraduates Lila Kerr and Lauren Theis were presented with an assignment in their Introduction to Bioengineering and World Health class. As Theis explains:
"We were essentially told we need to find a way to diagnose anemia without power, without it being very costly and with a portable device."
In a solution short on cost but long on ingenuity, the duo modified a basic, every day salad spinner into an easy to use and transport centrifuge that successfully separates blood to allow diagnosis of anemia with no electricity. The device costs about $30, can process 30 individual 15 microliter blood samples at a time, and can separate blood into its component red cells and plasma in about 20 minutes.

LMAO... woman banker claims she was sacked for being too attractive

By ken
A female banker claims she was sacked because she was too attractive and proved a distraction to her male managers.
Debrahlee Lorenzana, 33, alleges that she was ordered to stop wearing pencil skirts, fitted business suits, tight trousers and high heels because her appearance was too much for her colleagues at Citibank to bear. She has filed a sex discrimination suit against the bank in New York and is seeking damages for loss of earnings and emotional distress. Miss Lorenzana was hired by Citibank in September 2008 as a $70,000 per year business banker, based in the Chrysler Building. After her interview – to which she wore a black Armani wrap dress and Christian Louboutin heels – she claims a colleague told her that the branch was "pretty much known for hiring pretty girls".
Within weeks of her arrival, Miss Lorenzana alleged that she was summoned to a meeting with two male managers who pointed to her bottom and told her that her trousers were too tight. Her suit claims that she was given a list of items sh"I honestly couldn't believe it. I was in shock," she said yesterday. "They pulled me aside and told me I could not wear pencil skirts, business suits that were fitted – basically what every woman in New York wears to go to work." e should not wear.
Miss Lorenzana wrote a letter to the human resources department complaining that other female employees were allowed to wear what they liked "because they were short, overweight and they didn't draw much attention, but since I was five foot six, 125 pounds, with a figure, it wasn't 'appropriate'".
Miss Lorenzana said she yearned to be uglier. "If being less good-looking means being happy and finding love and not being sexually harassed and having a job where no one bothers you and no one questions you because of your looks then, definitely, I'd want that. I think of that every day."
Meanwhile a Citibank spokesman had this to say: "We believe this lawsuit is without merit and we will defend against it vigorously. We do not condone or tolerate discrimination within our business for any reason."
Wow: She is pretty indeed but if the allegation is true, then Citibank has erred. Damn

Duchess of York faces US backlash following Oprah appearance
By ken
The Duchess of York (remember her?) is facing a US backlash after her "confessional" interview with Oprah Winfrey after she was out in a sting operation in which she offered access to the Duke of York.
The New York Times TV reviewer mocked the duchess, 50, for what she called the "ritual of repentance and renewal that these celebrity makeovers require."
The duchess has made no secret of her plans to relaunch her business career in the US where she says the people are more welcoming than in Britain.
But by talking in the third person she appeared to annoy many people as did her evasive answers to question fired at her by Winfrey.
Judging by some of the comments posted online she faces an uphill battle to win them over.

Xdiculous!!!!! Cage fighter 'ripped out heart of training partner'

Jarrod Wyatt also cut out his friend's tongue and ripped off most of his face in a brutal assault that police said looked like a scene from a horror film.
They found the 26 year old standing naked over his friend's body with body parts, including an eyeball, strewn around the blood splattered room.
Wyatt told police he had drunk a cup of tea spiked with hallucinogenic mushrooms and became convinced his close friend Taylor Powell was possessed
According to an autopsy Powell,21, bled to death after his heart was ripped out.
The coroner said Powell had been alive when the organ was ripped out after his chest had been sliced open with a knife.
Wyatt told the police he thrown the heart into a fire along with other organs that he had removed from the body.
He told investigators he cooked the body parts because he was fearful Powell was still alive and he "needed to stop the Devil."
Police had been called to the grisly scene after a third friend had witnessed a sudden mood change in Wyatt after they had all ingested wild mushroom tea.
Justin Davis told police he returned to the flat in Klamath, California, to find Wyatt naked and covered from head to toe in blood.
He noticed an eyeball lying in the middle of the floor and saw Powell's mutilated body.
Please can someone tell me that this beast is already in jail. Damn

SMH!! Really a World of Surprises..... baby starved to death while parents were playing fantasy games

BY Ken
South Korean police have arrested a couple for starving their three-month-old daughter to death while they devoted hours to playing a computer game that involved raising a virtual character of a young girl.
The 41-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, who met through a chat website, reportedly left their infant unattended while they went to internet cafes. They only occasionally dropped by to feed her powdered milk.
"I am sorry for what I did and hope that my daughter does not suffer any more in heaven," the husband is quoted as saying on the asiaone website.
According to the Yonhap news agency, South Korean police said the couple had become obsessed with raising a virtual girl called Anima in the popular role-playing game Prius Online. The game, similar to Second Life, allows players to create another existence for themselves in a virtual world, including getting a job, interacting with other users and earning an extra avatar to nurture once they reach a certain level.
"The couple seemed to have lost their will to live a normal life because they didn't have jobs and gave birth to a premature baby," Chung Jin-Won, a police officer, told Yonhap. "They indulged themselves in the online game of raising a virtual character so as to escape from reality, which led to the death of their real baby."
Last September after a 12-hour gaming-session the couple came home in the morning to find their daughter dead. The baby's malnourished body aroused police suspicions of neglect that were was confirmed after an autopsy.
The couple fled to the wife's parents' house in Yangju, Gyeonggi province, but were picked up on Monday. The case has shocked South Korea and once again highlighted obsessive behaviour related to the internet.
A 22-year-old Korean man was charged last month with murdering his mother because she nagged him for spending too much time playing games. After killing her the man went to a nearby internet cafe and continued with his game, said officials. In 2005 a young man collapsed in an internet cafe in the city of Taegu after playing the game StarCraft almost continuously for 50 hours. He went into cardiac arrest and died at a local hospital.

Fire crews investigating a mysterious stench found an elderly couple buried alive under mounds of garbage in their Chicago home, authorities said on Tuesday.
The couple, in their seventies, were found on Monday night, said Larry Langford, a fire department spokesman. The team forced in the door of the South Side home and found an overpowering smell, piles of food waste and trash.
Margo Brooks, a spokesman for Jackson Park Hospital, said the two were admitted and remained in critical condition.
Man died in network of tunnels he made through house of rubbish
Mystery naval explosion may have stinky solutionPolice had initially been called to the apartment building by neighbours who had not seen the couple in some time and wondered about their welfare. Police called in the fire department because of the stench and the team that entered wore hazardous materials suits.
An 83-year-old neighbour, Hattie Fields, said the couple had lived in the building for years. Police declined to identify the couple.

Rock music - pop music?
Please just get this before it's too late. There's a difference between popular music and pop music. Popular music is not a genre but consist of many. It is a term for music of all ages that appeals to popular tastes.
Pop music is a genre in itself and is often oriented towards a youth market, usually consisting of short and simple love songs. Pop music has gotten influences from most other forms of popular music, but as a genre its associated with the rock and roll and later rock style.
I found this on a random website. And I must admit that I agree to some of it:
"I hate pop. I hate the stars, the composers, the writers but most of the entire concept itself. Pop is manufactured for the not so discerning ear and not quite intellectual mind and every time I hear even one beat I shudder. Shudder, for I fear each stray note will somehow infest in my mind and slowly eat me away.
But enough of that, pop music sucks as does everyone who listens to it so if you like pop you won't really like my site."

My bands
At the moment I am playing in two bands aswell as making music with a fresh DJ. I'm not really into making the electronics kind of music, but I do everything to improve my skills within music.
Tweed
Tweed is my first band and was formed by Fredrik (in class) and I for about a year and a half ago. We are now four people consisting of Fredrik on drums, Andreas on vocals and keys, David on bass, and myself on guitar and some backup-vocals. I can define the genre as psychedelic hard-rock. We havn't yet played any conserts, but are really looking forward to promote our music, and maybe get it recorded in a studio.
Obscure Vision
Obscure Vision has gotten abit further than Tweed. We have played some conserts and are gonna play more this summer. We've also been to a studio, and plan to record more. It consists of Leif, Sondre, Sindre and I. We're more of an alternative rock band. Leif has a blog of this band, I don't know what he has written, but I think we're doing well and we're getting better. Hopefully someday someone will sing our song out there. Heres a link to our website: www.myspace.com/theobscurevision

Wow: Six-year-old saved from dropping to his death by his EARS

By Ken
Ming Ming, managed to get his head stuck in the bars of his home in Yichang, China.
But rather than fall through completely, he became lodged between the grate due to his ears sticking out.
The boy is believed to have woken up alone after his grandfather left his home temporarily to run an errand. When he woke up, he is then thought to have fallen from the window while looking for his grandfather.
Crowds gathered after hearing the boy screaming and rescuers were able to save him. Firefighters were able to use a hydraulic pressure expander to force the bars apart and pull him back into his apartment.
Wow, What can these be called? Gracious God.

Garageband
Oh I just love Garageband! It is a program on the Mac where you can record music. Its so easy to use, you dont have to be a pro to understand it, like in Logic. Its just plug and play, and thats what makes it so easy to just pick up the guitar and forget about time and everything.
This is how the window looks like and an example of how easily you can produce something. Its a random play just recorded:

Grammy Awards
The topic of this blog is as we all know music, so therefore it is some sort of sense in writing about the price all musicians want to achieve, or should want to achieve cause its super awesome, or I dunno, but anyways..I'm talking about The Grammy Awards, which originally was called The Gramophone Awards, but I guess that sounded too "not-cool" so they had to change it to something more soundable and maybe abit more modernized.
The nomination begins with induviduals or record companies who has to send in a copy to the Nation Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, where 150 experts will review.
There are four main prices to be awarded:
Album of the year
Song of the year
Record of the year
Best new artist
Other awards are given for performance and production in specific genres, as well as for other contributions such as artwork and video. Special awards are also given out for more long-lasting contributions to the music industry.
The awards has gotten some criticism. The lead-singer of the band Tool did not meet up for one of their awards and he said this: "I think the Grammys are nothing more than some gigantic promotional machine for the music industry. They cater to a low intellect and they feed the masses. They don't honor the arts or the artist for what he created. It's the music business celebrating itself. That's basically what it's all about."
The top leaders of most Grammys won:
#1 Georg Solti with 31 awards!
#2 Quincy Jones with 27
and
#3 Alsion Krauss with 26
And the leaders of bands is U2 with 22 awards.

The trophy shows a gramophone which is from where the first name originates (doh!).

Roskilde Festival
Now the final list of bands is complete, and theres alot of bands I'd love to see. Examples: Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Muse, Mötorhead, Them Crooked Vultures and more! Some basic facts about Roskilde I forgot to mention; It is considered as a rock festival though its a festival of all genres, and its the 5th biggest is all of Europe. It has gone on since 1971, and it was mostly hippies to see around then. Though there are mostly mainstream youth visiting nowadays Ive also experienced meeting alot of hippies down there. Theres alot more visiters now than in the beginning, it has obviously become very famous, which comes from all of Europe, but mainly from Scandinavia.

The Greatest Of All TIme
When it comes to the guitar, especially the el-guitar, it is only one we can refer to as the greatest, Jimi Hendrix. And now with the opportunity as of having a "rock blog" I will tell you some about him.
He is known for his amazing guitar style and for his originality on stage, and is the best electric guitar player the world has ever seen.
He was born into poverty, and did not have a very easy life growing up. His parents divorced when he was young and his mother died when he was in his teens. At about the age of fourteen, Hendrix was able to pick up a one-string acoustic guitar, which inspired him to play like Muddy Waters and Lightnin’ Hopkins. And at some point his father finally bought him an electric guitar and he learned to play by ear from listening and practicing to Chuck Berry.
After a short period in the military, he was discharged for being an incompetent soldier because all he wanted to do was play his guitar. After leaving the Army, he moved to Nashville where he tried to get a band that could keep up with his playing style. He was able to make just enough money for a living by playing in black clubs. So, he moved to New York City. In Greenwich Village he was discovered by a producer that saw him on a flight to London. Once he got there he made a recording of a song named Hey Joe, just a single, which soon went to the top of the lists. He then released two other songs he had written and they too went number one.
In London at the age of 27, Hendrix was found dead in his apartment after an apparent sleeping pill and alcohol overdose.

R.I.P.

Concert Audience
What is the largest concert audience?
For a "live" televised concert via Satellite it's "Live Aid" which was held to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopa. An estimated 1.5 billion people watched the telecast in 100 countries on July 13, 1985.

For an attended concert, the winner is the Rod Stewart concert held at Copacabana Beach on December 31, 1994. It was estimated that 3.5 million people attended the free concert in Rio de Janeiro.

Again the largest INDOOR concert is alice cooper in brazil in 1974

The next big thing?

By Ken
Well, how well have you been following the NCAA? If you are not, then you are missing real good. It's one of the festivals that throws light on up coming talents and for this year, we already have two - Evan Turner and Kentucky freshman John Wall. These guys have been causing ripples (talent ripples I mean) and they are already projecting themselves as the next big thing in the NBA. But amongst a two, there must be a greater, so the two current pros of NBA (Lebron and Kobe), when asked to share their opinions on the youngsters had conflicting ideas. They both went for either of them:
According to Kobe Bryant: “He (Evan Turner) seemed like the best player in the country to me,” Bryant said of Turner. “…He looked like he has all the tools. I think Wall is a great player, but I like Turner.”
But Lebron James chose John Wall as the best in the NCAA this season. He hasn’t been shy about his affection for Kentucky freshman John Wall. He, like many scouts, has projected Wall to be the best NBA prospect in college this season. And once Wall formally announces his intentions to turn pro, James is expected to recruit the guard for his agent, Leon Rose, and his own marketing company. Well, let's wait till it's over.

Ha; Bernie Madoff rotting in prison

By Ken
Should we be happy or sad about the news we are receiving that Bernie Madoff (remember him?) was assaulted in prison?
Well this is how Yahoo news is reporting it:
"Last December, officials at the federal prison in Butner, N.C., rebuffed rumors of a prison-yard beatdown involving the facility's most famous inmate, Bernie Madoff—he of the multibillion-dollar Ponzi scheme that crashed to earth so ingloriously in 2008. Yes, the prison’s administrators conceded, Madoff had suffered facial fractures and lacerations, broken ribs and a collapsed lung requiring an extended hospital stay. But the former Wall Street titan had just fallen out of his bunk bed, they insisted.
Today, observers who were skeptical of the odds that one’s lung might collapse after a tumble out of bed were vindicated. The Wall Street Journal confirmed the more plausible version of events today: that Madoff was indeed jumped and beaten up by a fellow inmate, a “beefy” gent who possessed a black belt in judo—and had a personal grievance stemming from a Madoff-contracted debt he believed he was owed."
Lmao!! Damn, you know the saying "what goes around comes around". A lot of people will strangle him to death if they are chanced to meet him.

Earthquake count!! California....
By Ken
It's 2010 and recall our recent posting on the prevalence of earthquakes this year and the suggestion that appropriate authorities start looking into it. Well, the recent occurrence in Cali might just help draw it's consciousness into everybody now. Remember we are not done yet with Haiti to face another disaster.
Californiaitude-4.4 quake, centered about 10 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, struck shortly after 4 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was considered small in size, it was felt over a large swath of Southern California. People from San Bernardino County to the east and Santa Monica, about 25 miles to the west, reported feeling it.
However, there has been no damage, injuries or power outage recorded.
California Institute of Technology seismologist Kate Hutton has said there's a small chance that Tuesday's temblor is a precursor to a larger event, but the likelihood diminishes over time.
We believe.

Pepsi to cut sugary drinks from schools worldwide..

By Ken
PepsiCo plans to remove sugary drinks from schools worldwide, following the success of programs in the U.S. aimed at cutting down on childhood obesity.
The company said Tuesday it will remove full-calorie, sweetened drinks from schools in more than 200 countries by 2012, marking the first such move by a major soft drink producer.
Both PepsiCo Inc., the world's second-biggest soft drink maker, and No. 1 player Coca-Cola Co. adopted guidelines to stop selling sugary drinks in U.S. schools in 2006.
Coca-Cola this month changed its global sales policy to say it won't sell any of its drinks worldwide in primary schools unless parents or school districts ask. The policy does not apply to secondary schools.
Thats definitely a good look. At least let's hope it will reduce the rampant sights of obese children world over. Parent's and guardians, take note
